May was a month to remember! Across the College Station area, the DJ Franco team provided entertainment for 63 events. To really understand what DJ Franco Events can do, just take a look at a single day, May 30th. On that Friday, we didn’t serve just a client or two. DJ Franco provided entertainment for five completely different events, simultaneously, across the Brazos Valley. Here’s what we provided and how our full-service entertainment team made five clients very, very happy.
5 Events, Each with Curated Entertainment
That Friday in May was booked for five events, each one with a different set of entertainment needs. We provided DJ entertainment and photo booths for two weddings, karaoke hosting at a bar, and a marquee letter rental for another wedding. To top it off, DJ Franco Events served as DJ and MC for Aggie Alumni Coach’s Night. The gala also included one of DJ Franco’s amazing dance floors and our casino tables and dealers.
A Glowing Reception Welcome
Sometimes, the most quietly meaningful work is the kind that happens before the party begins — and long after it ends. For Livi and Samuel’s wedding at the beautiful 7F Lodge, DJ Franco team member Maruo was out the door early in the morning to deliver and install a pair of glowing Marquee Letters spelling out “L&S” lit up and ready to welcome every guest who walked through the door.
When the last song played and the final guests made their way home, Maruo returned (well after 2am) to carefully break everything down. No fanfare, no shortcuts. Just the kind of commitment that runs from the very first setup to the very last load-out.
Marquee Letter rentals are one of those details that might seem small on paper but transform a space in person. For Livi and Samuel, those glowing initials set the tone for an entire evening.
DJ Matt Makes Wedding Magic
Paulina and Michael Yoon’s wedding reception at the Embassy Suites Hilton in College Station featured a room full of people ready to celebrate and a bride counting on her entertainment team. And DJ Matt ready to deliver.
When the schedule hit a few hiccups (as weddings sometimes do), DJ Matt didn’t miss a beat. He adapted in real time, kept things moving seamlessly, and made sure the couple and every single guest had the time of their lives. The dance floor filled with people who, by Paulina’s own admission, aren’t exactly your typical dancers. That’s the mark of a great DJ.

While DJ Matt was keeping the Yoon reception going, another DJ Franco team was across town at the stunning Astin Mansion, celebrating the wedding of Breckin and Noel Meyer. The team provided full DJ entertainment services along with a classic Photo Booth, giving guests a fun way to commemorate the evening.

Karaoke Night at POETS Bar
Not every great event wears a tuxedo. That Friday night, the DJ Franco team also brought signature energy to POETS for karaoke. A packed bar full of people ready to grab the mic deserves a professional host just as much as any ballroom.
DJ Franco’s karaoke hosting means reading the room, hyping the crowd, keeping the energy up between performers, and making every person who steps up to that mic feel like a star. Our entertainment team is equally at home hosting bar nights, community gatherings, and corporate mixers with the same professionalism as any wedding reception.
Coach’s Night 2026, the Main Event
The Brazos A&M Coach’s Night, themed Denim & Diamonds, put the full depth of DJ Franco’s capabilities on display in spectacular fashion. Coach’s Night is an annual scholarship fundraising event put on by the local Aggies alumni. This year, 600 people attended the gala at the Hilton College Station Hotel & Conference Center.
Setup began hours before the first guest arrived. The DJ Franco crew worked methodically through the morning. We installed a striking checkered dance floor that anchored the entire room, assembled DJ and sound equipment, and built one of the most impressive casino floors the area has seen at a private event.
The casino lineup was no small affair. It included a craps table, roulette table, poker table, and seven blackjack tables. Fourteen DJ Franco team members served as dealers throughout the evening. Casino tables are not only engaging entertainment, but they can also be set up to raise funds. Guests purchase chips, but they can’t cash out at the end of the evening. But there are usually some prizes awarded for “biggest haul”.
Logistics, Atmosphere, Entertainment, and Experience
At the DJ/MC helm was DJ Franco Events owner and founder Gianfranco Hidalgo. From the moment the casino opened, the energy in the room was electric. Within minutes, every single table was full. Guests crowded around the craps table, cheered at roulette, and settled in for hand after hand of blackjack and poker, all against the backdrop of that checkered dance floor pulsing with light and sound. The atmosphere Gianfranco built wasn’t just background music. It moved the crowd from dinner to casino floor to dance floor with the kind of seamless momentum that only comes from experience.

And when the casino tables finally closed for the night, the party didn’t slow down. It moved upstairs to the rooftop. High above the city, the energy that had been building all night found its second wind. The afterparty ran deep into the evening and was a fitting final chapter to what had been a masterclass in event entertainment.
